Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since November 11, 1996. Her debut came in the Bond movie, A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989 she played the archaeologist who was sympathetic to Nazis Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Approached by a photographer Doody took up modelling that eventually led to a career in commercial modelling. Doody was extremely strict about not doing glamorous or sexually explicit work. The same rule continued into the acting profession. She was cast in a minor role as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after her name was picked by the casting director. Doody was named as one the top twelve promising actors of the year in 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody had just turned 18 at the time she was cast in the role as a Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bond girl. The year 1987 was the time Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she portrayed IRA members Siobhan Doovan. Doody was an actress in silent films in a 1987 film adaptation to The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading part in the film Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her biggest role yet in the film Taffin as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser The doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody is part of the James Bond family, having acted along with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Final Crusade. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was in part inspired by The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Then she moved to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson's role. She then played Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II came out in 1994. Doody returned to acting in 2003, playing a small part as a character in the British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. In 2004, she appeared alongside Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 booklet on the Holocaust. Doody filming a character in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. The following year, she had been scheduled scheduled to take on the role of lead in The Asphyx remake, but that project fell through. Pam Jefferson, the character that she played in the comedy series E4's Beaver Falls during its first season, which ran for two years. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). The 21st of November, 2018, she received the Almeria tierra de cine award as well as an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
