Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was apparent from the time she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first attempt, Felix placed second in the 200 meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix graduated from high school and signed a professional deal with the company that makes sports Adidas before enrolling in the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. A year later Felix earned the first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking an all-time junior world record running 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion in running 200m. She won the title in 2007. was able to defend the title in front of her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She consistently placed at the top of the podium in every event.
